Why Whimsical Bees you might ask? Well bees are very busy industrious little things. And well I am too. I also have a ridiculous fear of bees, well really yellow jackets or any flying monster that stings. But I still think they’re cute. I’m also a ridiculous person, hence the whimsy. I’m basically Mary Poppins without the valise, simultaneously serious and silly.

I am a software architect who believes software is an art medium. I also like to make things and give them away. I’ve been known to make things with yarn; crocheting and knitting. I do a bit of sewing. I often ferment things like mead or hard cider. I can cook and I can bake. I often make my own ingredients. Need yogurt for that recipe, well I culture my own. Graham crackers needed for a crust, I’m off baking them. I once made my own floorboards for a hardwood floor I needed to finish but couldn’t find the right match. I dabble in photography and I’ve made jewelry for my friends jewelry business.

I love to dance (poorly) and make up lyrics to my own songs (badly) and sing them (off key).

If you hang around me long enough, I will feed you, make you a scarf and hat, and bake you a pie. Oh and get you drunk.

I am also mom to Homer a goofy but well endowed Basset Hound, and Taffy-Doo a very ridiculous but super sweet and cute American Bulldog. I’m sure we’ll see pictures of them and there mis-adventures.
